Stress Testing:
The Stress Lab, located on the first and of the Emam Ali Heart Center, provides service to inpatients and putpatients referred for the purpose of evaluating or diagnosing heart disease.Several types of stress tests are available depending on patient's needs and a physician's order. This may involve the patient walking on a treadmill or receiving medication that mimics exercise. Nuclear imaging (pictures) may be requested by a physician to enhance interpretation.During the test, the patient will have electrodes applied to the chest that will have electodes appllied to the chest that will record the heart's impulse. A blood pressure cuff will be placed on the arm to record blood pressure with exercise and during recovery.
