Post Cardiac Care Unit

(Post CCU)

The 14-bed Post Cardiac Care Unit (P-CCU) is located on the first floor of the Emam Ali Cardiovascular Center. Patients with acute coronary illnesses and Post-interventional care are managed in the P-CCU . Nursing staff are trained to care for patients requiring close monitoring after receiving invasive procedures, during infusion of cardio-selective drugs, and coordinating care with various specialties within cardiology. The Unit actively participates in nationally know studies related to heart failure and dysrhythmia treatment. Patient care is documented on an electronic record with an interdisciplinary focus, giving attention to the management of the patient's clinical, educational, and psychosocial needs.
